Daniel hails from the UK but has been traversing the globe for most of the past five years, before returning permanently to Portugal. An avid traveller, Daniel has wracked up over 60 countries, 600 nights in hotels, and multiple meals eaten out, giving him a vast insight into what a modern day consumer wants. Couple this with his past career as a restaurant manager at some of Londons most high-end establishments, and he has an excellent knowledge of the travel and hospitality sectors.
First dipping into SEO as an intern in 2007 at a experience weekend company, Daniel has since gone on to produce photography, videography, written content and presented travel segments for the likes of Lonely Planet, Skyscanner, Matador Network and various magazines, even winning accolades from the likes of Forbes Travel and Travel and Leisure. Daniel is also a specialist in influencer marketing, with his own blog racking up one million page views a year and a highly engaged social media following of over fifty thousand.
Another area of expertise Daniel brings to the DMPT team is as a WordPress designer and developer, having overseen countless web projects for both his own past agencies and as a subcontractor: ranging from tour companies to hotels and restaurants. Additionally, he worked in-house at a tour company in Australia for two years as a brand and marketing manager so is well equipped to look at all challenges from both an in-house and agency side.
In Daniel’s role as creative director, he oversees all visual content. In addition, he manages all influencer marketing campaigns and strategy.
